Tell me about your failures

Most discussions focus on what worked. I’m more interested in what didn’t. Have you ever made something that didn’t turn out the way you expected? Weak extraction, separation, mold, unexpected fermentation, etc. What do you think caused it? Failures are usually where the real learning happens.

I once had a jar of honey garlic explode on the counter...that was a fun cleanup. It was my fault cus I forgot to burp it :?

Sounds like a mess! I usually leave the lid just barely tight so pressure can never build up that high. I do NOT want to deal with exploding jars :shock:
